For years, the expression “personal care” meant—and still means in most cases—a set of products that are generally associated with personal hygiene and grooming. These products—lotions, shampoos, conditioners, soaps and gels, even toothpaste and shaving gear, among others—all have one essential distinguishing characteristic: they are all applied to the outside of our bodies. We do not eat them, drink them, or otherwise intentionally ingest them.
And though these personal care products can have significant effects on the inside of our bodies (for good or ill), we are in general only vaguely aware of these effects and their possible consequences for our health as well as our appearance.
All of this is very interesting because the literal understanding of the phrase “personal care” is just that—care of the person. This is exactly what Simplexity is all about: Care of the Person…the whole person, inside and out.
We even take it two important steps further. In addition to care of ourselves, we also mean care for others and care for the vast, interconnected Matrix of Life. We say these things because we cannot care for ourselves without caring for others and caring for the earth, which is the source and sustainer of our lives. We forget to care for others and the earth at our own personal peril.
We define Simplexity Personal Care in these terms because it is the only definition that truly makes sense to us.
This is also why our nutritional supplements and foods are as important to Simplexity Personal Care as are our present and future lotions, shampoos, bath gels, and creams.
This is why we ensure that our products are healthy and good for the whole body, inside and out, and why we make sure they are also good for the plants and animals in the Matrix of Life. This is why we are committed to caring for others, whether they are underfed children in Nicaragua, undernourished stockbrokers in New York, or battered and abused women in Klamath Falls, Oregon—where we live and work and harvest Super Blue Green Algae from the waters of Upper Klamath Lake.
And this is also why we have spent years and millions of dollars working to preserve the natural environment...the Matrix of Life.
We are Simplexity Personal Care. Join our movement to care for ourselves, for others, and for the Matrix of Life.
